(Yahoo!) - The stork is on its way to the Jersey Shore again with a brand new little guido or guidette.
That's because Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi is pregnant for the second time with fiancé Jionni LaValle. The reality star announced the happy news Friday in an extensive post on her personal blog.
"Jionni and I are so excited to confirm that we are expecting our second child!" the post began. "Now knowing that our test results are good and our baby is healthy, we can finally talk about it!"
Snooki, 26, gave birth to her first child, son Lorenzo Dominic, in August 2012. The "Snooki & JWoww" star has long said that she wants to have a big family with Jionni.
Snooki told In Touch Weekly earlier this year that she and her main squeeze plan to marry later this year in an extravagant "Great Gatsby"-themed wedding, where the coordinating colors will be black and gold.
"I got an elegant ball gown for the church and a mermaid-style dress with a poufy train for the reception," she continued. "Everyone expects me to wear glitter and leopard, and I'm like, 'Maybe if I got married four years ago?'"
Snooki also used her blog post to address criticism head on that she and Jionni are not yet married. "I've also seen how upset people are getting at the fact that Jionni and I aren’t married yet," she wrote. "I'm so glad you are all concerned about our life, but we are doing fine I assure you. We planned to have a second child before our wedding, and will indeed still be getting married in the fall of 2014. We are a committed family that will raise our children to be the best they can be and give them the best life we can give them. So please, enough with the rude marriage comments. We are getting there, just waiting for the right time. He is my best friend and trust me, we will be together until death do us part. (And even in the afterlife I will be stalking [him])."
According to Us Weekly, Snooki is due in the fall just before her wedding. "I can clarify that our wedding is still on, and we are madly in love with each other," she tells Us. "We've waited long enough and cannot wait."
