Derek Jeter & Hannah Davis Welcome Baby Girl

Hannah Davis gave birth to a baby girl on Thursday! She and husband Derek Jeter are now the proud parents of daughter Bella Raine Jeter.

The joyous news was announced on Friday via the Twitter account for The Players’ Tribune, which Jeter founded. “Congratulations Derek and @hannahbjeter on the birth of your baby girl, Bella Raine Jeter, born Thursday, Aug. 17,” the company posted. At this time, neither Davis nor Jeter has publicly commented.

As Gossip Cop reported, it was revealed in February that Davis was expecting her first child with the former baseball player. The model announced the baby news in a column called “The Derek I Know” on The Players’ Tribune, which is a sports-focused website. In the piece, she wrote, “Now, pregnant with our first child, Derek and I are looking to the future.”

Davis continued, “We want our kids’ lives to be as ‘normal’ as possible. They’re going to be born into such an extraordinary situation. They’re going to have to be some strong little people. We don’t want them to be defined by their dad’s name — for them, we want him to just be ‘Dad.'” Still, she amusingly added, “And if they want to play baseball, well, we’re gonna have a little talk first.”

In May, Jeter received amusing fatherhood advice from pal Jimmy Fallon on an episode of the “Tonight Show.” The sportsman told the audience, “Jimmy’s got two daughters, so I’m trying to get some advice from him.” Fallon asked Jeter what he wanted the baby’s first word to be. “We want it to be dad. Dada,” Jeter admitted, but Fallon advised, “This is the thing, here’s the deal: Because you don’t think it’s a competition. And Hannah will say, ‘Oh, no, I’d like the baby to say dada. I’m cool with it.’ It’s a trick, it’s a trick! Everyone wants the baby to say mama.”

The talk show host also told Jeter that Davis, who accompanied her husband to the taping, was “glowing” and looked beautiful, prompting the athlete to remark, “You need to tell her that, because every time I say it, she says I’m lying.” The couple, who began dating in 2012, tied the knot in 2016 at the Meadowood Napa Valley Resort in St. Helena, California. The news of their engagement was revealed in 2015 when Jeter used the word “fiancee” on his website to refer to Davis.
