Macklemore and Kesha performed their new duet âGood Old Daysâ on Mondayâs âEllen DeGeneres Show.â The track is featured on the rapperâs upcoming solo debut album Gemini. Watch the video below!
âGood Old Daysâ follows Macklemoreâs previously released singles âGlorious,â featuring Skylar Grey, and âMarmalade,â featuring Lil Yachty. It marks Keshaâs first appearance on a single since 2013âs âTimberâ with Pitbull. The singer released her third studio album Rainbow in August, the first record since 2012âs Warrior.
The singer appeared on DeGeneresâ talk show this past Friday as well to perform her powerful anthem âPraying,â the lead single off her latest album. Although she doesnât mention Dr. Luke by name, many people believe the song is about her former producer, who she accused of sexual assault. Ryan Lewis, who collaborated with Macklemore on his last two albums, produced the track.
Since releasing their duet last week, Macklemore and Kesha performed the song at the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas, and also premiered its music video. Kesha said on Twitter about the track, âMy new song w @macklemore reminds me of being 16 chasing wild dreams not knowing those moments would be so precious.â The nostalgic collaboration reflects on the music starsâ lives before they became famous.
Macklemore will embark on his Gemini tour beginning October 6, while Keshaâs six-week Rainbow tour kicks off in Birmingham, Alabama on September 26. âMy new album Rainbow is dedicated to my fans. And Iâm so excited to be able to invite you all to come boogie with me on my new Rainbow Tour,â Kesha said in a statement. âI would not have made it to this point without my animals and supporters so now come out and join the celebration with me.â Watch Macklemore and Kesha perform âGood Old Daysâ on âThe Ellen DeGeneres Showâ in the video below!
