Happy Halloween! Everyone knows that this holiday is all about the candy, which means extra brushing and flossing may be needed after all those treats. And dentists say some sweets are actually worse for your teeth than others.
“The worst candies are the ones that linger around or the ones that are in contact with teeth for a long time and constantly bathe the teeth with sugar and feed the cavity-causing bacteria,” explains NYC Smile Design’s Dr. Ramin Tabib.
The five worst Halloween candies for your teeth are:
5) Sour Patch Kids
4) Caramel chews
3) Laffy Taffy
2) Gummy worms
1) Butterfinger
