Golden Globe winner for Best TV Comedy and creator of Ugly Betty was found dead on Monday in Miami. Although his representatives have not commented, source told Variety that he died from a self inflicted gun shot in a motel room. Former cast members of the show are shocked. "His talent and creativity brought me and so many others such joy and light,"Ugly Bettystar America Ferrara said in an Instagram post. She added she was "stunned and heartbroken" by the news. Horta, who also served as showrunner and head writer on the show, was nominated for an Emmy in 2007.
