Arby's Posts Sign Banning Unruly Kids

An Arby's restaurant in Elk River Minnesota is apologizing after a posting a sign saying that only "well behaved children who can keep their food on their trays and their bottoms on their seats" were welcome. "If you can't do this, you will be asked to leave." For most kids I know, that's a deal breaker. But not for local mom Christine Hemsworth who said she hesitated at the door of the restaurant last Wednesday because she was with her 2-year-old son, who can be a bit messy and "sometimes stands up." Ok. show me a two year old that isn't messy and can sit still. In my opinion, this store was telling moms to just stay out. christine did go in and aidered, but she said the experience stressed her out. Ms. Hemsworth a mother of five, posted about the experience on her Facebook page, and while some commenters sided with the restaurant, Arby's apologized in a statement. "We recognize the language on this sign was insensitive," it reads. "We removed it quickly, and have disciplined the manager and team working at the restaurant." Hemsworth says she's still waiting on a personal reply.
