Game Of Thrones Fans Wait For The Prequel Release Of House Of The Dragon

"Game Of Thrones" Season 8 Premiere

HBO president of programming Casey Bloys says prequel "House of the Dragons" is still being written, but his guess is that it will premiere "sometime in 2022." According to Gizmodo, House Of The Dragon is set back 1,000 years. According to Bloys via Deadline, here's the reason that story and not the Jane Goldman written prequel was chosen. “In development, in pilots, sometimes things come together, sometimes they don’t." "One of the things I think Jane took on beautifully, which was a challenge, there was a lot more role creation because she set hers 8,000 years before the show, so it required a lot more. That is a big swing. One of the things aboutHouse of Dragons, there is a text, there is a book so that made it a little bit more of a road map for a series order.” The George R.R. Martin book Bloys refers to is Fir and Blood which was published a few years back, and will be the main inspiration for the new show. As for all of us GOT fans, 2022 can't come soon enough. In the meantime,I'll be bingeing the entire GOT series a few more times.
