Zoom call for African American students at UofSC interrupted by racist

University of South Carolina officials are investigating a racist incident that happened on Friday night with a group of students in The Association of African American Students that were gathered in a Zoom call.

On Friday night, a group of students in AAAS hosted a virtual cookout that was hacked by people spewing racist slurs, using blackface, and neo-Nazi symbols.

The students were using Zoom to host their annual cookout event when the incident happened. One student recorded the incident and posted it to Twitter where it gained a lot of attention. WARNING GRAPHIC CONTENT: This post contains offensive language and images.
