Cardi B’s new back tattoo is insanely beautiful.
Since the beginning of the week, the “Press” rapper had been teasing fans with snaps and videos of her new body ink — now the final product is finally here. "Okay, guys! Soooo here it is! It took me several months, but I'm finally finished. This is my back tattoo! It goes from the top of my back to the middle of my thigh,” she captioned Friday's (May 22) Instagram post, giving followers a full look at the illustration, a colorful flower and butterfly design scaling across her upper-back.

Cardi previously teased the artwork on Tuesday (May 19) in a video posted to her Instagram Stories. “Two more sessions,” she captioned the clip at the time, tagging the tattoo artist behind the work, Jamie Schene of Union 3 Tattoo in Oak Hills, California. According to Schene, the artistic undertaking took "60+ hours, more than 10 cities.” In an Instagram post, Schene added, "It was an awesome project and a crazy experience. Thanks for the dedication, strength, and hospitality.”
Considering most of the nation’s tattoo parlors are still closed due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, it’s not clear when and where Cardi got inked up. Apart from some counties in northern California, most of the state has placed restrictions on body art shops and other personal care services in alignment with Governor Gavin Newsom’s reopening plan. However, in Atlanta, where the “Bodak Yellow” superstar resides, parlors have been permitted to operate and take clients.
