Chuck E. Cheese on the brink of bankruptcy, may be forced to close stores

Chuck E. Cheese has been closed for months due to the coronavirus shutdown and it may never reopen again.

According the Wall Street Journal, the restaurant is reportedly nearly $1 billion in debt and are seeking a $200 million loan to help them stay afloat. The restaurant currently has 610 locations across 47 states and nearly 17,000 workers were laid off in March.

In another atempt to stay afloat during the pandemic, Chuck E. Cheese started offering a takeout service called "Paqually's Pizza and Wings", a delivery app named after one of Chuck E. Cheese's bandmates. They kept some employees to help run takeout orders.
