A Gainsville, Georgia police officer was making a drug-related arrest late Monday night when the tip of the officer's nose was bitten off by the suspect. The Gainesville police Department shared a photo of the aftermath.
The post made by the department says the suspect, Kenton Thompson, 31, was being taken into custody when he tried to escape on foot which led to a struggle with the police officer. Thompson bit the end of the officer's nose, resulting in serious injury.
Thompson is being held at Hall County Jail and has been charged with aggravated battery, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug-related objects, and felony obstruction.
