Nick Cordero's Wife Is 'Waiting For The Day That He Holds My Hand Back'

Nick Cordero's wife, Amanda Kloots, longs for the day when the Broadway star will be able to hold her hand back.

In her recent appearance on CBS This Morning, the fitness trainer opened up about Cordero's lengthy battle for his life amid COVID-19 complications, offering new details to her emotional well-being. "There's so many cords everywhere," she explained to co-host Gayle King. "I just want to jump in his bed and hug him and grab him and squeeze him, but you know, you have to be very careful with everything that's going on, so I grab his hand and I massage his hand and I hold his hand, and I'm waiting for the day that he holds my hand back."

It's been such an up and down process for Cordero, but Kloots has tried to stay positive through the turbulent process. "One thing goes right and then another thing goes wrong and that thing that was wrong goes right but then the thing that was right goes wrong," she said. "Don't get me wrong, I have my days, but I have to stay determined, I have to stay positive, I have to stay strong for my husband. He's still fighting. He's in there and he is fighting. So if he can still fight after 90 days, I can still fight after 90 days."

Fans have remained patient as Kloots continuously shares updates on her husband, who has been been hospitalized at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles for three months. Not only has Cordero had his leg amputated due to complications from the respiratory virus, but he was placed in a medically-induced coma after surgery and started stem cell treatment to help his recovery. Kloots recently revealed that the star lost 65 pounds due to the condition.
