The Gordon County Sheriff’s Office is investigating vandalism at the Resaca Confederate Cemetery in Resaca, Georgia.
According to the incident report, early Wednesday morning a Gordon County Sheriff's Office deputy was on routine patrol when he saw the cemetery littered with confederate flags. Some flags had been arranged to spell out the letter "X" and "Stop Racism".
The Resaca Cemetery is the burial site of over 450 confederate soldiers who died in the Battle of Resaca during the Civil war in May of 1864.
