Watch: Cardi B Shuts Down Met Gala Red Carpet With Jaw-Dropping Look

Cardi B never disappoints with her Met Gala looks.

On Monday night, May 6, the Bronx native arrived on the red carpet in a massive black dress. The train of the dress completely surrounded her and almost took up the entire width of the carpet. It took several men to help her make her way up the stairs to the event. She put her hair in a ginormous up-do that matched her dress. The only other color that stuck out from her dark ensemble was the emerald green in her pendant and her matching eye-shadow, diamond earrings nails and rings.

While she was on the red carpet, she ran into Shakira. The duo recently collaborated for the Colombian superstar's latest album Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran. Shakira recruited Bardi to jump on the album's intro "Punteria."

"I wanted to do something with Cardi," Shakira explained. "We were always discussing internally if it was a good idea to bring someone on the song and I always pictured Cardi in the song. So we reached out, I reached and here we are."

“I always wanted to do a record with Shakira," Cardi admitted to Gillie & Wallo. "and it’s like, wow, it landed on my lap. It really landed on my lap, so I got a record coming out with her next week. It’s like, ‘B***h, I’ll do whatever the f**k you want me to do, b***h. I’ll fly to Colombia.’ Like, I’ll go over there right now.”
