Cardi B is reportedly making the proper arrangements ahead of her long-overdue album.
According to a report TMZ published on Wednesday, August 7, the Bronx native has filed paperwork to trademark a couple of phrases she plans to use in the future, "Defamation of Character" and "Intrusive Thoughts." Legal documents say she wants to use the names for albums, music videos, downloadable music files and anything else she'll need for the release of her sophomore LP. It's not clear if the phrases will be used for an album title or a song, but either way it's a sign of progress for Bardi.
Fans tried to guess the title of her album when she posted a teaser to her Instagram Story in June. She covered the title and the supposed creative direction for the cover with her hand. However, based on the visible text, none of the aforementioned phrases seem to match it.
The 31-year-old is serious about releasing her album this year (despite telling people otherwise). Cardi has delivered several songs that may appear on the final tracklist including "Enough (Miami)" and "Like What." While finalizing her project, the mother of three also hopped on songs with Rob49, Flo Milli and Shakira. Other major artists are expected to show up for Cardi's album, but there's no confirmation about Offset's involvement.
Cardi B reportedly filed for divorce from the Migos rapper last week. She also revealed her growing baby bump in stunning new photos just hours after the news broke about the couple's split. Despite the stressful updates in her personal life, Cardi won't let the divorce from her soon-to-be ex-husband Offset or her pregnancy get in the way of dropping her anticipated album.
