Emma Watson may be in a relationship, but she's not single. Emma says, "I never believed the whole 'I'm happy single' spiel," she told British Vogue. "I'm very happy [being single]. I call it being self-partnered."
Emma says she coined 'self-partnered,' she's not the first woman to try to make being alone sounds good. "Self-partnering" is the basis of healing from narcissistic abuse. Maybe that is her history of bad relationships but I guess you can say when you go through a tough breakup and heal, you can call your status, "self-partnering." Which I'm sure will cause some people to react.
