1 dead, 1 arrested in Yemassee domestic dispute

COLLETON COUNTY, S.C. (WSAV) - The Colleton County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) has arrested a man for his alleged involvement in a domestic dispute that turned deadly.

On Nov. 27, 2024, at 10:04 p.m., the CCSO responded to a residence on Hendersonville Highway in Yemassee. Witnesses reported that an altercation occurred between two adults in a relationship.

CCSO investigates Middle School burglary

The situation worsened when the girlfriend called her father for assistance packing her belongings, officials said. Upon his arrival at the residence, the father was allegedly shot and killed by Garry Braden Roseneau, 38.

Roseneau was taken into custody at the scene and is currently being held at the Colleton County Detention Center, facing a murder charge.
