VIDALIA, Ga. (WSAV) — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) and Vidalia Police Department (VPD) are investigating after a man died on Thursday.
Around 11:40 a.m. on Dec. 12, VPD officers responded to the Vidalia Village Apartments after a report of an individual with a gunshot wound to the leg.
When officers arrived, they found Timothy Byrd, 31, of Vidalia with multiple gunshot wounds.
Byrd was transported to a hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
