10 displaced in Midtown Savannah house fire

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - Ten people were displaced after a house fire in Midtown Savannah Sunday morning.

The Savannah Fire Department said that shortly after 4 a.m., crews arrived in the 100 block of Oleander Ave. to see smoke and flames coming from a home.

Firefighters had the blaze under control within about 30 minutes, IAFF Savannah Firefighters said.

Deadline to apply for Chatham County Fire Department approaches

Officials believe the fire was initially caused by a heater.

No injuries were reported during the incident.

Savannah Fire said they are assisting those who were displaced.
