JASPER COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) — Two men have been arrested in connection with the fatal Feb. 2 shooting at Tailgators, a Jasper County Sheriff's Office (JCSO) spokesperson said.
A shooting that claimed the life of a man prompted the investigation, which led to the arrest of Curtis D'Rod Green, 37, an official said. After interviews, evidence also led to the arrest of Marquis Lenard Green, 31.
Marquis is the suspected shooter, a JCSO spokesperson said.
Marquis is charged with murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Curtis is charged with accessory after the fact to felony murder.
Several law enforcement agencies were involved in the investigation including JCSO, Hardeeville Police, the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) Fugitive Team and the Beaufort County Sheriff's Office.
