Beloved Tybee grill gives back to community with winter wonderland

TYBEE ISLAND, Ga. (WSAV) – It's the season for giving, and a beloved Tybee Island spot is making sure the holiday spirit is shining bright, all while giving back to the Coastal Empire.

North Beach Bar and Grill has turned into a winter wonderland with upside-down Christmas trees, a festive menu and plenty of holiday cheer for the whole family.

The best part? You get to vote for your favorite tree while supporting local charities.

"This is our second year doing our ho-ho-ho pop-up. We have been in the community for a long time and we thought one of the greatest things to do is give back to that community that has supported us for so many years," said George Spriggs, the owner of North Beach Bar and Grill.

Now through Jan. 12, customers can vote for Loop It Up Savannah, the Fresh Air Home, Tybee Arts Association or Tybee Island Maritime Academy.

Union Mission brings free meals, support services to those in need

"We unite with some of the fantastic nonprofits. We give them the opportunity to display their talents and creativity here at the grill," said Spriggs.

A portion of the proceeds supports these incredible nonprofits, plus, you'll find special offers and festivities from each one.

You can enjoy a frozen hot chocolate while holiday DJs to keep you in the festive spirit. There will be special activities for the little ones, too.

Spriggs also shared that the grill has a community tree for anyone who wants to hang an ornament on it.
