STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) – Bulloch County residents woke up Thursday to heavy rain and flooding that some said rivals Hurricane Debby.
Dirt roads have washed out and there are multiple areas where water is flowing across the roads, according to the Bulloch County Sheriff's Office.
Officials are urging drivers to slow down, stay alert and be mindful of standing water.

In the early afternoon, traffic was backed up near the county line on Interstate 16 due to water on the roadways:

Road closures
Bulloch County Public Safety and EMA posted a list of flooded and washed-out roads on their Facebook page. Officials advise anyone who received flooding in their home and needs shelter to call 912-489-1661.
Meanwhile, Bulloch County Schools have stopped school bus traffic on all dirt roads and has activated its alternate bus transportation plan for the remainder of the week.
