SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The city of Savannah will be installing a 40-foot Holiday Tree on Monday and the lighting ceremony will take place on Friday, Nov. 29.
The city said that they will install a 40-foot Holiday Tree on Monday, Nov. 25 on Bull Street between Broughton St. and Congress St. This will be followed by the annual Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Nov. 29 at 5:30 p.m.
City of Savannah to offer free holiday parking in garages
There will also be the Holly Days Family Fun Event in Ellis Square on Saturday, Nov. 30 at 1 p.m. The city said that this event will have holiday-themed entertainment and special appearances by Santa and Mrs. Claus provided by the Cultural Arts Center.
The staging area for the tree, on Bull Street between Broughton and Congress streets, will be closed to traffic at 8 a.m. on Monday and will remain closed through January 2025. The city said no-parking zones in the staging area will be in effect starting Friday, Nov. 22.
