Just in time for Valentine's Day, Wesley Community Centers, Inc. will be spreading love across downtown Savannah with the return of a popular fundraiser.
Tammy Mixon-Calderon is the agency's Executive Director.
She sat down with News 3's Kim Gusby in today's Community Corner to preview the event and its importance.

What: Wesley’s annual fundraiser, Love Walk
The 3.6-mile walk steps off at 9:00 A.M.
When: Saturday, February 8, 2025
Where: Wesley’s Campus at 1601 Drayton Street, Savannah Georgia 31401
In-Person Event Activities Start at 8:00 A.M.
Virtual Live Stream via Facebook Live Starts at 8:00 A. M.
Why: Unrestricted funds raised at the Walk will support critical services for
homeless and low-income people in this community. The agency's
essential services include: child care programs that are nationally
accredited, through the National Association for the Education of Young
Children (NAEYC), and are Quality Rated Centers through the state of
Georgia's Bright from the Start Department. In addition, there is
Summer Youth Arts Camp and, Crisis Intervention (emergency assistance
with food, utilities, rent, financial literacy, SNAP assistance---public
benefits, and case management). You are invited to participate in our
Love Walk 2025 event, and help continue to celebrate our 75 years in
service! It’s a Love Thang!
