SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – Daylight saving time is quickly coming to an end! We set the clocks back one hour on Sunday, Nov. 3, at 2 a.m.

As we "fall back," the new sunrise on Sunday morning will be an hour earlier than usual and the sun will set an hour earlier. We are going to continue to lose daylight quickly as we head into the days and weeks ahead.

Tips to prepare heaters for cooler temperatures
After daylight saving time ends, we lose another 36 minutes in November. We then lose 8 minutes and 52 seconds for December up until the winter solstice, with our earliest sunset at 5:19 p.m.

The winter solstice on Dec. 21 is known as the darkest day of the year, but it is also the turning point when we start to slowly gain more minutes in our days ahead.
