Driver under influence crashes into Pooler police officer, GSP says

POOLER, Ga. (WSAV) – A person allegedly driving under the influence hit a Pooler police patrol vehicle Monday, the Georgia State Patrol (GSP) said.

The officer was transported for treatment but is expected to be OK.

GSP said the crash happened on I-95 southbound near mile marker 100 where a Pooler police officer was working a separate crash that closed down two lanes of traffic.
