RINCON, Ga. (WSAV) – The Effingham County Sheriff's Office (ECSO) will be hosting its Silent Santa event for the second year in a row.
It's said to be a one-of-a-kind event for families of children with special needs. The second annual Silent Santa will provide families with a calm and supportive environment with various sensory-friendly stations.
That includes a designated area for pictures with Santa Claus.
"We believe that every child deserves to experience the joy of the holiday season without any barriers. This Silent Santa event is an opportunity for families of children with special needs to create lasting memories in a supportive and understanding environment," said Sheriff Jimmy McDuffie. "We look forward in celebrating the holiday spirit together."
