SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — At Benedictine, eight Cadets are headed to the next level on the first day of the NCAA Early Singing Period. Five of those in baseball.
Jackson Austin is going to Gordon State College, Brooks Bradshaw is headed to Emmanuel University, Landon Ludwig at Davidson College, TJ Wwindsor at Belmont Abbey and the last baseball player is Jack Murphy. He'll be at St. Vincent's College.
Zachary Krauss will wrestle at Belmont Abbey College. Herbert “Third” Scroggins is going to the "U" also known as the University of Miami for football. Also playing football is Jacobe Ward. He'll head west to Auburn University.
"I'm going to have a very big impact to the team as a freshman," Ward said. "I got personal goals as being a freshman All-American. And over the next couple of years, I plan to win a national championship."
"[The University of Miami is] going to get a person who has relentless effort," Scroggins said. "I'm going to be hustling to the ball every step of the way, every play. I'm gonna get to get that sack on third down because it's my down. Always. That down is my down, third down is my down."
