HAMPTON, S.C. (WSAV) – Lowcountry residents impacted by Hurricane Helene will have the chance to meet with federal and state representatives at a new Disaster Recovery Center.
Officials representing the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), the state of South Carolina and the U.S. Small Business Association will be available at the Hampton Town Fire Department (600 Second St. W) now through Sunday.
The Disaster Recovery Center will be open each day from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. No appointment is needed.
FEMA addresses rumors surrounding disaster relief funds
So far, it's the only local Lowcountry Disaster Recovery Center.
Homeowners and renters in several counties, including Beaufort, Hampton and Jasper, can apply for federal assistance.
