Fort Pulaski National Monument's Candle Lantern Holiday Tours to return

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Fort Pulaski's tradition of candle-lit tours and holiday festivities will return for another year.

Fort Pulaski National Monument’s Candle Lantern Holiday Tours will take place Dec. 13-14, 2024, from 6-9 p.m. each night.

They will offer night-time guided walks through historic Fort Pulaski, lit by candlelight and oil lamps. Visitors can also sample holiday refreshments, sing a carol or two, listen to performers and living historians, and watch a night-time cannon firing, all while learning about Fort Pulaski’s past, Fort Pulaski said.

Tickets for Fort Pulaski National Monument’s Candle Lantern Holiday Tours will go on sale on recreation.gov on Nov. 8, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. The Candle Lantern Holiday tour fee will be $10 per adult (16 and older) and $1 per child (15 and younger). Interagency passes will not be accepted for this event.

National Museum of the Mighty Eighth Air Force to open on Veterans Day

All visitors must secure reservations through their website and will show their digital or printed ticket confirmation at the park Entrance Station. Six programs will be offered each evening at 6:00, 6:30, 7:00, 7:30, 8:00 and 8:30 p.m.
