Fort Pulaski to delay opening, close some trails due to projected flooding

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — Fort Pulaski National Monument officials said they will delay opening on Saturday and Sunday due to projected tidal flooding along U.S. Highway 80.

The National Monument said they will open to the public at 10:00 a.m. on the weekend and anticipates returning to normal hours beginning on Monday Nov. 18, 2024.

Tidal flooding will also close two hiking trails during the weekend, the Picnic Area Nature Trail and the Cockspur Island Lighthouse Overlook Trail, officials said.
