WAYNE COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) - Wayne County officials responded to a fatal crash on State Route 27 on Tuesday.
According to the Georgia Department of Public Safety, troopers were dispatched to a fatal crash report at 5:45 pm. Upon arrival, the investigation determined that two pedestrians were attempting to cross SR 27 when they were struck by a 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt traveling northbound.
The crash claimed the lives of both.
The Georgia State Patrol's Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team (SCRT) is assisting with the investigation.
