BEAUFORT, S.C. (WSAV) — High school seniors in Beaufort and Jasper County can start turning in their applications for the 2025 Heritage Classic Foundation Scholarship.
The Heritage Classic Foundation said that they will name 11 new scholars from the 2025 graduating class and each student can receive a four-year grant totaling up to $16,000-$20,000 for the college or university of their choice.
To be eligible, students must meet the following criteria:
- Student must be a high school senior.
- Student must have a 3.5 or greater unweighted GPA on the SC Uniform Grading Scale.
- Student must be a legal U.S. citizen.
- Student must be a legal resident of Beaufort or Jasper County.
- Student’s parents/guardians combined adjusted annual income must be less than $150,000.
- Student must enter college within one year after high school graduation.
- Student must attend high school in Beaufort or Jasper County. We will also accept homeschooling and Governor’s School applicants.
Since this Scholar program was instituted in 1993, they said that 386 graduating seniors have been named Heritage Scholars. They said that these grants have totaled more than $5.38 million.
All applications must be completed by Jan. 15, 2025.
2025 Scholars will be recognized at the 57th annual RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing, they said, which will be held at the Harbour Town Golf Links from April 14-20, 2025.
