BEAUFORT, S.C. (WSAV) - The Beaufort Police Department (BPD) responded to a 'mane event' in the wee hours of Monday morning.
BPD shared on Facebook that two horses fled their farm and were spotted in the middle of Robert Smalls Parkway. The department described one of them as a "pint-sized stallion of sass."
"Officers were able to rein in the situation and return these hoofed runaways safely to their owners," BPD said in the post.
Neither of the jay-trotters were harmed in their journey.
