Hyundai powers STEM education at Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) — The Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club in Savannah is preparing the next generation for STEM success with Hyundai's help. This program is working to inspire students across the country.

Fifty local kids will get hands-on lessons Wednesday thanks to Hyundai's Hydrogen STEM Program.

From building hydrogen-powered mini cars to learning about clean energy, these young minds are cruising towards a brighter future.

Participating kids will get the tools they need to drive the next wave of technology. Hyundai's support will enhance the club's STEM initiatives and give kids hands-on learning experiences.

"It's important that kids learn about these new energy-efficient vehicles, whether it's electric or hydrogen. What it is going to do in our future," said Mark Lindsay, the CEO of Frank Callen Boys & Girls Club. "They are our future so doing these kinds of programs prepare them for that future."

The Hyundai STEM program has been shared with over 800 students in Georgia and California, and the Boys & Girls Club is happy to add 50 more students to that total.

Participating kids from the club are between 5 and 18 years old.
