SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) – The jury in the Leilani Simon murder trial reconvened Friday morning to continue deliberations.
Simon faces 19 counts in connection to the 2022 death of her son, Quinton: malice murder, two counts of felony murder, concealing the death of another, false report of a crime and 14 counts of making a false statement.

On Thursday, the jury had roughly two hours to deliberate before they were excused for the night.
Should she be found guilty of murder, Simon faces life in prison.
