GLYNN COUNTY, Ga. (WSAV) - The Glynn County Police Department (GCPD) has arrested one man following a conflict Friday morning.
The situation took place at the Economy Inn on New Jesup Highway. A man who has been identified as 58-year-old Lovyce Mack, Glynn County, knocked on a tenant’s door while carrying a large knife.
After the tenant refused to let him in, Mack kicked in the door. He then attempted to strike the man with the knife but was unsuccessful.
According to GCPD, Mack also assaulted a six-year-old girl who was in the hotel room.
Officers responded and apprehended Mack who appeared to be under the influence of drugs.
He now faces the following charges:
- Aggravated Assault
- Cruelty to Children ( First Degree )
- Home Invasion
- Possession of firearm or knife during Commission or attempt to commit Certain Crime.
