SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. (NCBW) held a ceremony at the Hyatt Hotel in Savannah to honor 55 women who are helping to charter the Greater Savannah Chapter.
The event took place on February 1. The theme for the evening was "A Legacy Begins: Leading in Excellence—Thriving in Advocacy." It marked the beginning of a powerful movement dedicated to advocating for Black women and girls in the areas of health, education, and economic empowerment.
The ceremony was led by NCBW National President Virginia Harris, who administered the oath of office to the newly elected chapter officers and presented membership certificates, along with the official chapter charter. Witnessing this momentous occasion were not only the new members but also their proud families, community leaders, and dignitaries from Savannah and surrounding areas, all gathered to celebrate this milestone.
Following the induction, attendees enjoyed a beautifully curated brunch, where the energy in the room was filled with joy, pride, and an unwavering commitment to service. The atmosphere was one of sisterhood, unity, and a shared vision for the future.

With a strong foundation now set, the work begins, and this remarkable group of women is ready to lead with excellence and purpose.
