GREENWOOD, S.C. (WSPA) - The South Carolina Department of Education released their 2024 SC School Report Cards Tuesday.
The report cards provide information into school quality and student performance for the 2023-2024 school year.
The Department of Education said all public schools receive overall ratings on a 100-point scale. They also receive ratings based on academic achievement, student progress, college and career readiness, and graduation rate.
Of the 1,261 schools which received a rating, 232 were scored as excellent, 317 were rated good, 477 as average, 186 were below average and 49 were unsatisfactory.
According to the Department of Education, student performance on the high school end-of-course exams improved for all required subjects except U.S. History and the Constitution.
