SLED charges Georgia man with threatening a public official

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED) is charging a Georgia man with threatening the life of a public official.

Michael Lee Gaskins, 56, is charged with Threatening the Life of a Public Official on February 7, 2025.

According to the arrest warrant, Gaskin willfully and knowingly delivered a telephone communication on February 2, which contained a threat to the life of a public official.

Gaskins was booked into the Lexington County Detention Center. The case will be prosecuted by the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office.
