STATESBORO, Ga. (WSAV) – Local police are hoping to show some love to senior citizens for Valentine's Day.
Now through Feb. 10, the Statesboro Police Department is collecting items to be distributed into comfort care bags and donated to Heritage Inn Health & Rehabilitation Nursing Home residents.
Items can be dropped off in the front lobby of the police department on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Suggested items include:
- Large print crossword and word search puzzles
- Chapstick
- Hand cream and lotion
- Jigsaw puzzles
- Pens, stationary and journals
- Pocket calendars
- Sugar-free candy
Used puzzles will be accepted.
The department is located at 25 W Grady St.
