SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - Outlets are a big hit with shoppers and you can weigh your options with a last chance opportunity to keep donated items out of landfills.
The Cycle of Goods can be found at Goodwill outlet store on Sallie Mood Drive. Inside, you'll see items to retool and create as your own: treasures like clothing, books, toys and houseware.
Goodwill's Opportunity Center's mission is to transform lives through education, skills training, and employment opportunities.
"Part of our mission is focused on sustainability: making sure that we keep items out of the landfill," said Ashlyn Flowers, Public Relations and Communications Manager for Goodwill. "So the outlets are kind of like a last stop for items that may have been on the retail store and maybe haven't sold yet. They come here to the retail store where shoppers can experience great value for a large amount of itens. And so that gives those items more chance to have a new life."
Our resident thriftologist Sharon Simpson was at the Goodwill Outlet recently rummaging through the bins. She joins WSAV's Tina Tyus-Shaw to show off her finds.
