UPDATE: SPD investigates shooting on Abercorn Street

SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - UPDATE 3:15 p.m. Wednesday, December 25, 2025:

The Savannah Police Department is investigating a December 24 shooting in the 10,000

block of Abercorn St. that left one adult male injured.

Officers responded to the scene at around 6:45 p.m. based on a ShotSpotter report. Upon

their arrival, bystanders advised police that an adult male had been shot and was being

transported to Memorial Health University Medical Center in a privately owned vehicle. It was

also determined the victim’s car had been stolen from the scene.

No arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information should call

December 24, 2025:

The Savannah Police Department (SPD) responded to a shooting on Abercorn Street Tuesday night.

SPD announced in an X post that they responded to the 10,000 block of Abercorn St.

One adult reportedly sustained injuries and self-transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
