SAVANNAH, Ga. (WSAV) - There is a collegiate, community-based organization that services the campus of Savannah State University, and the local Savannah community with spoken and visual arts.
The name of the organization is Way of Real Discovery (W.O.R.D), Inc., which began as a residential facility program open mic and has since transitioned to becoming an organization on the Savannah State University campus.
W.O.R.D was created for students that are gifted in the written and spoken arts to tap into their creative potential and grow into the artist they aspire to be. Their aim is to create the “student-artist”, thereby enhancing their artistic and academic education for the path of the real world after college.
